The Most Effective Supplements For Baseball Players

Back in the day, the most effective supplement for baseball players was steroids. Unfortunately, these are unsafe and illegal. This means that to boost performance players need to find other effective supplements that are far safer.

Creatine

Creatine is one of the safest, cheapest and most effective supplements on the market. It helps create the ATP molecule used in short bursts of energy to make you stronger and more powerful.

As well as this, some studies have shown it to be effective at increasing brain function and power which will make you more mentally agile on the field.

Fish Oil

Speaking of improving brain function, fish oil does just that as well as aiding in supporting the brain, heart, and joints. Try to aim for the highest quality sources of fish oil which will maintain the maximum amount of benefits.

Protein Powder

If you’re the type of player who struggles to consume enough protein, then protein powder is a perfect supplement for topping you up. Your diet should mainly be based upon natural, whole foods but this isn’t always practical. If you can find a way to source natural sources of protein such as eggs, fish, beef, turkey, chicken, etc. then aim for those. However, if you live a hectic lifestyle or don’t have these options available, then a scoop of protein powder a day can help replace a natural food source.

Protein is perfect for repairing your muscles and abetting your recovery so that you can play better after a harsh or strenuous match. Use of anabolic supplements like Dianabol or correct Anavar dosage will result in vast improvments in strength and focus.

Water

Water isn’t typically thought of as a supplement, but it’s also not usually thought of as a performance enhancing tool. Because of this, a lot of athletes don’t drink enough water which causes fatigue, mental fogginess, and an inability to perform at a high level. Every process in the human body needs water, so you need to be hydrated before and during every game.

Aim for 6-8 glasses on days where you’re not playing and then add on another 4 for the days you are playing.

Micronutrient Powders

Fruits and vegetables are one of the most lacking areas of anyone’s diet. Green powders contain lots of the same vitamins, minerals and nutrients that we would normally get from whole foods but come in a much more convenient form. Again, these shouldn’t replace real foods, but they are a good substitute if necessary.

It’s important to note that supplements will not take you from amateur to elite level. Supplements are responsible for giving you that little extra edge but you need the foundations, or these items are a waste of money. Practice, hard work, and dedication will get you further than any supplement.
